Mark Allen secured event 3 of the European Tour in Belgium
with a 4-1 victory over Mark Selby in the final. The Northern Irishman got off
to a fantastic start with three centaury breaks of 117, 102 and 106 to lead
3-0. Selby managed to prevent the whitewash by winning frame four but missed
the black off its spot in frame five allowing Allen to clear up to take the
final and a cheque for £12,000. An-inform Selby had also demolished Marco Fu by the same scoreline in the quarters to book his place in the last four. The other quarter final games saw Carter beat Joe Perry 4-1 whilst Allen overcame Ben Woolaston 4-3.
