EPTC6 - Munich Open

Mark Selby secured the first tournament of 2013 following a
deciding frame win over Graeme Dott
Mark Selby claimed the final PTC event of the season which coincidentally was also his second tournament win in Germany. He defeated Graeme Dott 4-3 in an exciting final which swung one way and another. The Jester from Leicester won the opening frame and the third to go 2-1 ahead but Dott took frame four with a 106 break and went within a frame of victory by taking the fifth. However Selby dug deep and rolled off breaks of 72 and 90 to secure the title.

Selby had earlier defeated Chinese player Tian Pengfei 4-2 in the semis whilst Graeme Dott whitewashed Rod Lawler 4-0. Dott required a deciding frame winner to beat Ben Woollaston in the quarters whilst Selby dispatched Thai player Thanawat Tirapongpaiboon. The other quarter-finals saw Tian Pengfei defeat Martin Gould 4-2 whilst Lawler beat Kurt Maflin 4-3.
