| Ali Carter is through to the Championship League Winner's Group after winning Group Two |
Ali Carter joined John Higgins in the Winner’s Group after
defeating Martin Gould 3-0 in the group final. A 113 break from Carter got him
rolling in the final before taking the following two frames to secure the win.
Carter had come through a final frame decider to win his semi-final over
Stephen Maguire whilst Gould had defeated Neil Robertson 3-1.
The latter three listed will join Judd Trump in Group Three
on January 21st after the International Championship winner finished
fifth in the group. Mark Davis and Stuart Bingham were both eliminated from the
competition after finishing sixth and seventh respectively, with both winning
two of their six matches.
