Robert Milkins is through to the semis after beating Anthony
Hamilton 5-3. (Image: World Snooker)
Neil Robertson dodged a bullet as he came back from 4-3 down to beat Cao Yupeng 5-4. The first four frames had been shared and although a break of 52 put Robertson 3-2 up, Cao pulled out some excellent pots and made two breaks of 54 to go 4-3 up. However Robertson knocked in an 87 in the eighth and then dominated the decider to secure a spot in the semis.

He'll face an in form Robert Milkins who put and end to Anthony Hamilton's good run in the competition, beating him 5-3. The Milkman won the opening two frames with breaks of 120 and 73 and went 4-1 up with a 53 break in frame five. Hamilton won the next two but another run of 53 saw Milkins secure frame eight.

John Higgins is also through to the last four with a 5-2 win over Joe Perry. The game was a match-up of the first two tournament winners of the season but the Bulgarian open champion came out on top breaks of 97, 50 and 61 on course to victory.

He'll play Matthew Stevens tomorrow evening after the Welshman defeated David Morris 5-2. Morris had only regained his spot on the tour back in May through Q-School and had had an excellent run to make the quarters and led Steves 2-1 after frame three. However he knuckled down and won the next four on the bounce to seal the victory.
